The construction company Sacyr has awarded G.O.C. the integral technical assistance in the execution of the New Surgical Block and the reform of the Oncological Institute, both works framed within the grounds of the General University Hospital Gregorio Marañón in Madrid. The contracted services include quality control and technical assistance, in the field of geotechnics, structures, architecture and building systems.
The execution of the New Surgical Block includes the construction of 30 new operating rooms with their corresponding technical support and post-surgical areas, in the area occupied by the Ambulatory Assistance Pavilion (PASA). These operating rooms are optimized in their operation, integrated and capable of installing robotic surgery, hybrid operating rooms and open intraoperative MRI, in addition to the Sterilization, Dialysis, URPA or isolation. All the elements and systems necessary for the activity are included in this action, including the installation of photovoltaic solar energy production. The new block will consist of a built area of about 16,000 square meters, where 12,000 will be new construction. The execution budget is 16.2 million euros and the deadline for carrying out the works is 22 months.
Meanwhile, the renovation of the Oncological Institute will affect more than 15,000 square meters, of which almost 2,000 will correspond to expansion works. Circulation nuclei will be implanted that order The transit of patients and professionals will be ordered with circulation nuclei, also creating new spaces with natural light and individual rooms. Actions regarding accessibility and energy efficiency are also contemplated. The execution budget is 18.2 million euros and the deadline for carrying out the works is 18 months.
