The U.S. The Green Building Council has awarded its LEED GOLD certificate for the extension of Inditex’s central service buildings, in which G.O.C. carried out the technical assistance to the construction management and construction company, being responsible for the achievement of specific construction credits for obtaining the certificate. This recognition is based on criteria of energy efficiency and environmental design, which in this case is reflected in aspects such as waste management in the construction phase, the management and recycling of rainwater from the building or the reduction of light pollution and energy consumption .
The new building is implanted within the complex where the Inditex Headquarters is located, the new building being located to the northeast, where there was a surface parking of 22,310 square meters.
The building consists of basement and ground floor with parking use. The ground floor consists of a prismatic body on which the three built volumes emerge with the following uses: dining room, auditorium-health area and design, pattern and manufacturing area.
The total constructed area represents 78,846 square meters to which 17,259 square meters of urbanization area must be added.
The works were developed between 2016 and 2019, with an execution budget of 65 million euros.
