G.O.C. has been awarded the tender for the design of the fish market adaptation project to the fire protection regulations.
Both the fish market and the market are 3-storey buildings, the first with a total area of about 35,000 square meters and the second with 17,000 square meters. As they are buildings that are part of the fishing industry, their uses are both industrial and commercial, as well as administrative.
On the ground floor of the fish market the exporters’ storage can be found, as well as the exhibition and sales hall, with a total surface over 12,000 square meters. On the first floor stands out the office area, close to 5,000 square meters, and the storage area, 2,000 square meters. The second floor is intended for about 500 covered parking spaces.
Meanwhile, the market has 3,000 square meters for the auction room, which represents half the area of the ground floor. On the first floor, it stands out an area of 1,300 square meters for offices and on the second, 6,000 square meters dedicated entirely to about 200 parking spaces.
In the project, technical, constructive and economic aspects will be developed, making the normal operation of the facilities compatible with the development of the works, looking for constructive solutions that take care of the environment and reduce the emission of waste, studying sustainability solutions for the entire affected area and its surroundings, as well as those aimed at saving energy and reducing CO2 emissions, through the application of home automation systems that allow light intensity control, monitoring, remote management or renewable energy.
