Enlargement of the terminal building of Gran Canaria Airport – Las Palmas

Technical assistance for the design and work execution

Enlargement of the Gran Canaria Terminal Building to increase the process capacity of passengers. The actions are:
– Enlargement of the building northward, to increase the number of conveyor belts for luggage collection on the ground floor, the number of check-in desks on the first floor and office spaces in second and third floors, this one of new creation.
– Enlargement of the aircraft docking area, and passengers loading and unloading areas northward, by enlarging the front part of the existing building in a position and the construction of a setback dam from the current façade, for two type E aircraft positions.
– Moving the land side façade of the old terminal building to increase the waiting space for arrivals in the ground floor and longer check-in queues in the first floor.
– Enlargement of the building southward, to create a new international arrivals and departures area.
Construction of a new elevated roadway for departures.
